Welcome to the blog of the John’s Island Regional Library! Our library opened in October 2004, making us the newest branch of the Charleston County, SC Library system.
We have a great collection of materials–books for all ages, DVDs, videos, books on compact disc and audiotape, and musical compact discs. We have a Spanish materials collection, too! We have computers with Internet access, research databases, and Microsoft Office programs. We now have free wi-fi access, so bring your laptop and surf the Web!

Can I renew my passport, in person, at your location?
No, I’m sorry but we do not handle renewals or applications for passports. On John’s Island, you’ll want to contact the John’s Island Post Office on Maybank Highway at (843) 559-0622. They do accept passport applications and may be also able to help with a renewal. If we can be of further service, please call our Reference Desk at (843) 559-1945. Thank you.
